What types of ensembles are there?
Concert bands: Symphonic Band (no audition) and Wind Ensemble (auditioned)
Big Band: swing & jazz tunes with a variety of old classics and modern hits
Pep Band: live music at community hangout spots for OSU games, volleyball games, and other events!
Marching Band: meets in the summer for Pride season
Holiday Winds: meets in the winter to play holiday favorites at different events around town
Oktoberfest brass ensemble: meets in the fall for local Oktoberfest events
I’m getting back into music as a hobby after taking a long break, can I still join?
Yes! Our members come from a wide variety of backgrounds and we welcome folks of all experience levels. As long as you can read music and have an instrument to play, we’d love to have you!

I don’t play an instrument but would love to support the band!
There are plenty of opportunities to get involved with Columbus Pride Bands without playing an instrument! You can fill out the form here if you’re interested in volunteering at an event, and there are different ways to donate to help the band! Your donations support music selection, performance space, instrument repair, and more. Thank you!
